Leisure Facilities
We want to make this area of Sevenoaks a better place for everyone. We also want to improve connections between the High Street and Knole Park.
Our vision is to provide a new, state of-the-art, leisure centre that meets energy efficiency standards and provides significantly improved facilities for the local community. Keeping the existing centre open until the new leisure centre is complete is a priority.
The early ideas for the leisure centre include a larger gym, new fitness studios and exercise spaces, a luxury day spa, and an enhanced food and drink offer. This could make Sevenoaks Leisure Centre one of the leading leisure facilities in the region.
Library, Museum and Art Gallery
Our vision with Kent County Council is for a new multi-purpose space closer to the High Street. In addition to a library, the new building would include an art gallery, museum, co-working space and an adult education centre.
Our suggested location would create a more accessible learning hub for the town, encouraging more people to visit and spend time in the town centre.
New Town Centre Hotel
Sevenoaks requires additional hotel capacity to encourage overseas and group travel to the area.
Our early ideas include a new, centrally located hotel, with good transport links and access to the High Street and Knole Park.
Encouraging people to visit and stay overnight at a new town centre hotel will improve our visitor economy, support local business and increase spending in the town.
Market Hall
Our new market hall proposal for 96 High Street would breathe new life into the area, bringing activityand interest that would help generate return visits.
The proposed market hall space would:
-
1
Create a hub for artists and cultural businesses in the heart of Sevenoaks. -
2
Create a new space for locally produced food, goods and products to be showcased and celebrated. -
3
Create a new day-to-evening destination for residents and those who visit the town.
